A huge snow year and a
non-existent Spring this year has sidelined many trips including our
annual St. Helens climb as well as our upcoming Whitehorse trip.
There has also been news that the popular Cascade Pass road is closed.
Perhaps I will have to make more use of my kayak this summer.
A brief moment of nice weather brought on a
rush of last minute planning. I was able to join Tina and Rod's
trip up this little gem located near Steven's Pass. This peak is
off the radar to most climbers - perhaps due to the uninspiring
name of 'Jim Hill'. Backcountry skiers know better.
There were many out this day enjoying the open terrain and outstanding
views. I look forward to revisiting this peak soon. |
